- iPhones vs. Android Phones
The Comparison. Apple vs. Samsung; Macs vs. PCs. In many aspects of our lives, there are competing sides that we must choose from: left or right, day or night, Pepsi or Coke? It is no different in our choice between an iPhone and an Android phone (or Windows Phone for that matter). Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but overall you can make a much more informed decision on which platform to choose if you understand all of your options up front. So what makes each operating system unique? What do iPhones have that Androids don’t? What do Androids have that iPhones don’t? Let’s take a closer look at the five best features on both sides in order to answer these questions.
- IPhone Advantages
iPhone users have access to Apple’s App Store, where they can download almost any app imaginable. On top of that, every new iPhone ships with a collection of some of best apps in their category. For example, Notes is one of many apps that come pre-installed on an iPhone. The Notes app gives users a place to store text notes, graphics notes, images taken with your iPhone camera, recordings of sound captured by your iPhone microphone—the list goes on. One major advantage of iPhones is how seamlessly they work with other Apple products. If you own an iPad or MacBook, you can connect them to your iPhone wirelessly using AirDrop, which lets you transfer files back and forth between devices quickly. Airdrop works whether both devices are online or offline. When it comes to music, all iPhones ship with Apple Music built in; if you already subscribe to iTunes Match (and most people do), then all your music lives right there on your phone. And here's another cool thing about having an iPhone: You don't need to worry about buying extra memory for your device. Every model of iPhone ships with enough storage space for you to use however you like without ever worrying about deleting photos or videos to make room for more content.
- Android Advantages
Advantages of android why android are best reason. It is way too easy to be distracted by clever new features when picking a phone, but there are actually some pretty big differences between Android phones, so let’s dive in. To start with, let’s look at what we like about Apple products. The new iPhone 6S has one of its biggest upgrades: 3D Touch makes interacting with your phone faster and more convenient than ever before by using pressure-sensitive technology (same as in your Apple Watch) to give you shortcuts depending on how hard you press down on an app icon. There are several good reasons for owning an Android device. Some companies have started adding extra storage space via microSD cards that can hold up to 2TB, which means you could fit hundreds of movies or thousands of songs on a single card! You can even use your microSD card as internal storage if it's supported by your device. This can help free up room for things like photos or videos that take up tons of space over time without needing to buy additional cloud storage space. This option isn't available on all devices, but it's certainly nice to have!
- IPhone Disadvantages
Apple iPhone is the most expensive Smartphone as compared to android phones. For many of the latest features, you have to pay premium. If you want 4G LTE capabilities on iPhone, then you will have to buy from AT&T only. But both are not the real reason for these disadvantages. iPhone has some limitation too but in some categories it offers a better value for money than Android Phone. When comparing an iPhone vs Android comparison, here are some notable differencedifferencess The biggest disadvantage with an iPhone is that there's no MicroSD card slot for additional storage. You can't just pop in another 64GB card if you run out of space or don't like how your photos look when they're compressed by default. You also can't easily replace its battery if something goes wrong (though there are ways around that). There's no removable back cover either, so you can't swap out batteries or memory cards without going through some serious contortions with a suction cup and tiny screwdriver. As far as software goes, iOS doesn’t support any third-party skins or custom launchers—it's all about Apple's way or no way at all.
- Android Disadvantages
1. Not as many games as iPhone. 2. Battery life isn’t always great, sometimes quick charge can help though! 3. No headphone jack(thank god for wireless headphones though) 4. Many older android phones aren’t getting updates to Oreo (Android version 8) but google is rolling out updates to newer ones fairly quickly! Some Samsungs are getting it now while others are waiting till mid-to-late February which is a very long time if you ask me! 5. Always having to type Google Play Store every time I go on my phone because that stupid company thought of a dumb name for their store 6. Different versions of android have different features. For example oreo has picture in picture mode where you can watch a video or play a game while doing something else on your phone at the same time. Nougat doesn’t have that feature yet so if you don’t want to wait for an update then get an iphone! 7. There are more apps in apple app store than there are in Google Play Store so there will be less things to do on your android device than there would be with an iphone 8. It seems like Androids battery dies faster than iPhones even when they have better batteries 9. The screen resolution isn't as good as iPhones 10.
- Who Wins? Our Final Thoughts
There are some areas where Android’s ahead. Having more screen real estate is huge, for example, and no one can deny that navigating an open-source platform like Google Play is simpler than getting around Apple’s walled app garden. But as a whole, there’s no comparison: Apple still crushes Android in terms of stability, user experience and choice. Ultimately, how you feel about a smartphone comes down to how you want to use it—and if you need absolute power right now in your pocket at all times, iOS wins every time. If having an open system with a limitless potential for customization sounds appealing to you, though? Jump on over to Google Play! You won’t regret it.
